Terms of Use

The rules for using this website and requesting a visit or quote.

Effective date: October 6, 2026. Last updated: October 6, 2026.

Using this site

By visiting this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You must be at least 18 years old to request a visit or quote.

What the site does

The site gives general information about home repair topics and lets you ask for a visit or written quote. Browsing the site and asking for a quote cost nothing. Sending a request does not create a contract for repair work.

Quotes and repair work

Any repair work is agreed separately, in writing, before it starts. The written agreement states the scope of work, the price and the payment terms. New York law requires a written contract for home improvement work over $500, and it gives you the right to cancel certain contracts within three business days. The terms of that written agreement apply to the work, not these website terms.

Service area and availability

We serve Rochester, NY and nearby areas. Availability, response times and the jobs we accept can change, and we may decline a request, for example when a job needs a licensed trade, a permit or specialist testing that we do not provide.

Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate contact details and an honest description of the job.
  • Tell us about known hazards, such as water damage, mold, pests, old paint or suspected asbestos.
  • Do not use the site for unlawful, abusive or misleading purposes, or to send spam.

Content on this site

The text, layout and images on this site belong to us or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for personal use. You may not copy, republish or resell the content without written permission.

Information is general

Articles and service pages are for general information and do not replace an on-site inspection or advice from a licensed professional. See our Disclaimer.

Limits of liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that result from using the site or relying on its general information. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under New York or federal consumer protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Monroe County, New York, unless the law requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version posted here, with the date above, is the one that applies.
